ESPN took over the NHL subscription and the video skips all the time. Customer support says uninstall the app, unplug the tv, wait ten seconds and reinstall the app. Problem comes back in 24 hours.

Disney does a poor job distinguishing the difference between ESPN and ESPN+, especially since the streaming apps are one in the same. ESPN+ is Only great if you’re looking for boxing, mixed martial arts, soccer, or non-major conference college basketball/football.

but yes, if you're wanting the NBA, NFL or big time college football, the service isn't going to get you that. you're going to need to either get cable or wait for ESPN's upcoming, and much more expensive subscription option that will include all of that stuff

ESPN+ is more an 'additional' or 'supplemental' service. other than some events (F1 races, tennis matches), few of the things that air on ESPN/ESPN2/SEC Network or their other cable channels are going to be available on ESPN+. the primary reason you'd subscribe to ESPN+ are things like the Bundesliga and La Liga european soccer leagues, a lot of NHL …
