Govia Thameslink Railway has acquired an additional 30 Class 379 trains for its fleet after leasing them from Porterbrook.

An additional fleet of Class 379 trains is being brought into service by Govia Thameslink Railway in readiness for December timetable changes.

Porterbrook's Electrostar trains, acquired from Akiem in March 2024, will be reactivated for the Great Northern network.
