Two Marines from San Diego County’s Camp Pendleton were killed Tuesday when their vehicle rolled over while they were patrolling the U.S.-Mexico border in New Mexico, according to the Washington Post. A third service member was hospitalized in serious condition, the Post said.

The names of two Camp Pendleton-based Marines who were killed earlier this week in an accident in New Mexico were released Thursday.

The Marines were in New Mexico as part of the Trump administration's efforts to bolster security at the U.S.-Mexico border.
