PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A chaotic scene unfolded early Saturday morning when a large house party in Pierce County turned deadly, ending with two teenage partygoers shot to death and several more injured.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a large house party just south of Tacoma. Dozens of young people were reportedly running and screaming.

Chicago police said a teen was shot in Streeterville Friday night, as large groups of teenagers were seen in the area. Mayor Brandon Johnson reacted to the violence while speaking at an event aimed at preventing "teen takeovers.

Each of the three defendants were charged with first-degree murder in the August 2023 shooting death of 22-year-old Carlin Taylor.

A 13-and 14-year-old were arrested following a three-day string of stealing from unlocked cars, breaking into a storage unit and crashing a stolen car, troopers said. The teens are accused of committing the crimes from March 17 to March 19 throughout Lewis County,

The boy was on a sidewalk when someone in a car drove up and an occupant fired shots, striking him multiple times, police said.

The 15-year-old girl was shot once in the arm as a result of the incident. First responders transported the victim to Harlem Hospital in stable condition. There are currently no arrests as authorities continue to investigate the motive for the shooting.
