Mughrabi CAIRO (Reuters) -Israeli shelling hit a hospital in northern Gaza, wounding several people, damaging equipment and disrupting surgeries, Palestinian health officials said on Sunday, but Israel's military denied carrying out strikes in the area.

Airstrikes, gunfire, panic and orders to evacuate in the dark of night combined to cause heavy casualties in the area of Kamal Adwan, one of the last hospitals still operating in northern Gaza.

At least 200 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes on northern Gaza Saturday, according to local health officials, as the United Nations said it would pause aid deliveries through the enclave’s main crossing after its trucks were stolen.
