Mar 12, 2018 · Doing residential and some commercial, I used dikes constantly, and lineman’s fairly seldom (mainly to pre twist). When I shifted to heavy commercial hospitals and industrial, the dikes hardly got used, and the lineman’s hardly left my hand. But yeah, those pictures are too bulky and not angled enough for me to even consider them.

Jul 28, 2015 · My two cents, I've had a couple pairs now of Greenlee 8" high leverage dikes and will buy them next time too. Good size, comfort, excellent leverage, cut through hard stuff too without squashing. This pair has lasted about four years, which is saying a lot considering how I abuse diagonal cutters almost as bad as my linesmans.

Nov 23, 2013 · Personally, I think that klein dikes are the best designed pair of dikes on the market. I beat the hell out of mine, the light blue handled hard cutting. The cutting edge takes a beating. They also work better for pulling staples or nails or just prying due to the shape of the head. That is probably my favorite feature.

She took no offense to it being called that because she knew there was no malice in it and that it was short for diagonal cutter. Jan 14, 2007 · Angled dikes are my number one tool. I use them way more than sidecutters. I don't always start at the middle and work out. Over 1 ", I almost always hold the fitting up to check the size. Scrounging for a reducing washer is a total waste of time and my stock always seems to be hit or miss on the larger sizes.

Dec 1, 2019 · Then snip the 3/4 ring between the welds, grab them with the point of the dikes at the weld and bend them out. A lot depends on what kind of angle you can get on them. If the 1/2" has two welds, I bang a skinny screwdriver into the 3/4" ring and bend them up enough to snip them between the welds with my dikes, then twist the pieces out.

Jun 6, 2009 · Show me where any cable was ever manufactured as "type BX". Just didn't happen . Type AC cable without the internal bond strip was still type AC cable. There was just a change in construction requirements for the type AC cable in the 1950's. There never in the history of electrical wiring a cable manufactured and marketed as type BX cable.
