Jun 22, 2014 · 5Ge: this is just LTE but faster (LTE-A as it is called elsewhere) 5G: true 5G but on a “low” frequency band so it won’t be socks-knocked-off fast but is still 5G. 5G+ or 5Guw: on AT&T this shows up if you are either on the c-band or mmWave bands, with no icon distinction between those two.

Jan 4, 2009 · To get 5g I would have to upgrade to the new plans, lose the free showtime, and lose the free watch tv access, which saves me $100+ on a cable subscription, for $75. I’ll stick with me 140mbps down lte speeds. 5g won’t be useful anywhere around me for years to come.

Jun 19, 2010 · There is a 5G SIM Card from AT&T so having the correct plan and SIM Card is the best option to use all the 5G bands, even standalone 5G (no LTE/4G area) with no issues. Some people have been issues without the 5G SIM Card in their iPhone 12 devices but not everyone.
