It's wide open for hauling provisions, plus offers protection from cold while underway. If you make the conversion, you'll probably own the only Alaska boat in the state of MS. Just a thought - That may make it harder to sell (on down the road).

Aug 11, 2021 · My buddy landed the biggest flathead I have ever seen tonight. He grew up in Alaska and has caught a lot of big fish, but never a Snake River Flathead. He was using a little pole with the lb test line and let the fish wear himself out like you're supposed to I knew he had a nice fish on but when I saw him I was shocked!!

Jan 20, 2025 · The trigger does require a different position in most rod holders. I have 2 of the rods in the link and use them for spot on accurate casting paired with a 6500cl Big Game. I believe the trigger is a carryover from a Bass fishing type rod and the rod itself may be a Bass fishing rod rebadged as Catfish rod.

Apr 6, 2006 · There aren't any blue cats-lots of channel cats and flatheads, some of the flatheads get pretty big. I've caught a few fish over the years that were probably white catfish. Fontana is deep and cold, excellent walleye fishing, good smallmouth, largemouth, white bass, trout, crappie, bream, yellow perch, and the occasional musky.
