Jan 12, 2012 · Alvarez guitars are great! My first really nice guitar was an early 90's Yairi dreadnought. In the mid range price point they're excellent guitars, they have a 12 string jumbo with maple back and sides I've been itching to buy for awhile.

Jan 17, 2023 · Their E1 and E2 series guitars are around $500 new on reverb. Excellent guitars. I've got an E20D that I wouldn't trade for any guitar. I bought my daughter an E2om that is a fantastic guitar. IMO they are the best guitars in the price range hands down. Alvarez and Yamaha do make some pretty good instruments in that price range.

First and second numbers dictate year, third and fourth dictate the month and the remaining numbers dictate the production number. So this guitar was made in August of 2000 and was number 1070.
What’s the best mid-range reasonably priced acoustic?
Have bought and sold around 100 in the last five years. $1,000 is the upper range of the entry level point for an acoustic guitar. Obviously you can spend $150 for a barely playable guitar, but that’s not what OP is asking. Mid-range starts around the $1,500 Martin 15 series price point, and goes up to the $3,500 price point.
