Mar 9, 2015 · Hi Tom (and all) This is now possible in Aruba Central, by modifying the Configuration > network and Configuration > Access Points pages. Edit the network (SSID) and you will see the screen (Central Network Zone.JPG attached), enter the Zone name in the section supplied and hit save.

May 21, 2021 · I have a switch which I use for test purposes, and until now it was working fine in aruba central (online and in-sync). I did a factory default (reset+clear pin, and then erase-all command) and after this the switch is failing to connect to the central. The switch has internet conenction, I can ping f.ex google.com etc.

At the same time, everything I've heard about Central is that it's not quite as feature rich as doing things the traditional way (AP + controllers).

Nov 2, 2023 · Controllers in Aruba Central are only supported in SD-Branch mode or in AOS-10 mode. I'm not sure if ArubaOS 8.6 has the code to connect to central. From the controller CLI you could check 'show aruba-central' to see if it is connecting/connected; and if the command is not available you may need to upgrade first.
