I did my valve cover also(N52 non-turbo) and the Bapmic aftermarket one was fine but like the original, uses easily stripped screwholes on either side of that gasket. i was able to use a carefully sized drill to enlarge the hole (without penetrating the cover!!) and use a larger than factory fastener to secure that gasket.

    Feb 4, 2016 · Regular JB weld should work on the valve cover crack as it is rated for 550 degrees F, and I know the valve cover will NEVER even hit close to that, not even half of the 550. The extreme heat JB Weld is rated for 2400 degrees F, and is usually used on cracked exhaust manifolds and such. Just make sure you clean the surface and rough it up.
