Jun 19, 2020 · I have an old car that’s pretty physically beat up, the paint is wrinkling off, there’s a dent in the plastic bumper, the car randomly turns off but it still drives. KBB is around $400 on trade in. Would a dealer accept a really crappy car or should I just sell it elsewhere?

Thus they'll come up with a reason to stop them. This has VERY much been my experience having driven a wide range of vehicles for many years. One, an old beat up J-10 was basically impossible to drive through the ritzier parts of town without being stopped. Didn't matter that everything was lawful, well maintained, etc. they came up with a reason.

We actually had a very rigorous method of inspection to determine the standard of how each car should be fixed. And it would be brought up to par before being sent.

My wife's got a newer Toyota and it's nice, gets great milage, and I drive that when I'm going a distance becuse it get 3× the full economy.

Mar 18, 2023 · I bought this for $5k USD with blown airbags. There are halfway holes on the carpet under the drivers side. As you can see on this picture, the plastic trim below the display is cracked in half. The transmission fluid smelled like burnt death first time changed at 155k miles. This car is the definition of neglected, abused and beat up.
