Difference Between Mk1 & Mk2 BeoLab 8000 Bass Drive Units
May 14, 2014 · Has anyone experience of renovating BeoLab 8000s and any useful experience to share? At present I have some 6000's but occasionally I see some 8000's on ebay for sale with damaged drive units and tatty frets.

Apr 2, 2022 · I recently got a pair of Beolab 8000 from 1997 – Serial 12xxxxx – and was excited to plug them. But honestly it is a disappointment. They really sound average without details, I would’nt say muddy but definitely very common.

Differences between beolab 8000, 8002, and 8000 mk2?
While not delivering as much as a BeoLab 2 (dedicated sub-woofer) the bass drivers with the newer BeoLab 8000 have a marked improvement over their predecessors. The upgrade involved new frequency equalization and improved ABL system.

Sep 19, 2017 · To me, their coolest gear is from the Beolab 8000 and 6000 series, which I think wouldn't look out-of-place onboard the starship Enterprise, and was rather advanced for its time. Their modern gear strikes me as them trying to be the "Danish Bose", though I'm sure it still has their classic sensibilities behind it.
