The slides are as wide as the bunks 3 1/2" with four inch spaces in between two of the three pieces. They are also on the two front guide bunks. Have you ever seen a roller trailer?
The Hull Truth - Boating and Fishing Forum - Best Bunk glide …
I went with the Trailer Bunk Slides and Pads, Boat and Jet Ski Trailer Glides and Pads because it was recommended here on another thread. It was expensive, about $300. for my trailer, but is really thick marine polymer and comes with stainless hardware. Holes predrilled and countersunk.
Boating and Fishing Forum - Surfix bunk slides - The Hull Truth
They are a lot slicker than carpet. I would put them on a few bunks at first and see how it works. May have to adjust the other bunks as the surfix will make the bunk thicker than just the carpet. Just make sure to go the entire length of the bunk so you dont create uneven pressure.
The Hull Truth - Boating and Fishing Forum - Pvc boards as bunk …
Was reading a blog of someone using pvc boards as slides on their bunks. This sounds like a really cheap idea that would work really nicely. I have 4 bunks under the boat, looks like two 4 footer and 2 10 footers.

I have an aluminum boat with pressure treated (pt) bunks. Any suggestions for bunk coverings or slides? I do not want to use carpet due to corrosion issues with aluminum boats.
Boating and Fishing Forum - Trailer bunk slides??? - The Hull Truth
The bunk slides are fine for lighter boats, the problem with using them for larger, heavier boats is they reduce the surface area of the bunks, thus the boat isn't being supported as well as it should be. Another way to go is to replace your wood bunks with "ultimate bunk boards".
Boating and Fishing Forum - Trailer bunk carpet options - The Hull …
Don't sweat it. Most over think this bunk material thing imo. After replacing any boards needed and hardware you can use carpet again. The key is not to wrap the wood all the way around - prevents draining. Use Monel staples and only wrap top of bunk AND just enough of the sides to get the staples to properly hold carpet to bunks.

bunks. I was using a piece that was 27 inches wide, which became the length of the strips. The strips are separated by 3-4 inches on the bunk. I also put them on the forward keel bunk boards. I countersunk holes into the starboard and used a mix of #12 silicon bronze and stainless 2 inch wood screws. This is for a very heavy 24ft WAC I/O ...

Would any one recommend bunk slides for use in south west Florida Cape Coral ? Have them from my old trailer so i don't need to buy them. My boat is a 18 ft cc. Thanks
The Hull Truth - Boating and Fishing Forum - Bunk Slides, Long …
I need new boards and carpet on my trailer, so I looked at the Caliber bunk cover kits because my boat doesn't like to slide off the trailer very easy, but for $60 a bunk and the cost of treated lumber right now I couldn't justify the cost. Carpet and silicone spray is a much cheaper option and probably last just as long or longer.
