Most obvious is fuzziness in the lower left portion of the view through the left side, especially fuzzy edge to the field stop.

The mechanical performance could be better, but the price is so cheap you can buy two and still have one to use while having the broken one repaired or replaced under the Lifetime Warranty.

10x42 Ultra 8x36 Ultra 8x42 Ultra 10x36 Ultra I base that ranking strictly on the comparison of the 3 that I have and I think 8x36 is a good compromise. But, I like the compact 36 models and and hoping some major brands will make a 10x36 of this class and charge 500 for it. I used to think 10x32 useless, but maybe there is some promise there.

And yes, binoculars have improved a great deal during the past 10 years. It is the coatings which have made the biggest improvement to mid priced bins and I can't see any reason to pay £800 to £1000 just to get a posh little badge.
