RSX group bikes in clean, rideable condition, trade for low $250 and up to low $300s. Then there is the Cannondale factor which adds another premium. IMHO, $375 is a fair asking price on that super clean R300, as the seller will probably let it go for $325-$350 without too much haggling. Frame size appears to be 52cm. Good luck!

But the Peugeot is an early 70s "classic", while the Cannondale is a modern bike with indexed shifting. So it depends on what you want. And as the previous post said, the Peugeot (while very nice) was their entry level model.

The R300 will likely have an RX-100 parts set or something like that from Shimano The 6 speed or 7 speed vs 7 speed vs 21 speed or 14 speed or whatever is easy ------ 6,7, 8. 0r 9 usually refers to how many cogs are on the back wheel --- but if it has 2 chain rings on the crankset, - that means it has a total of 12.14.16. or 18 speeds

Help me update this 1999 Cannondale R300 Caad2 --if this isn't vintage enough, please feel free to relocate this thread to the appropriate forum-- Picked this up pretty cheap from a local on FB Marketplace.

Apr 22, 2018 · It looks like a 1999 Cannondale R300 Triple that’s been converted to a flat bar setup. In the bike’s original state, which would’ve included a drop bar and STI integrated brake/shift levers, I think the asking price is a bit optimistic.

Jul 16, 2010 · I think that's overpriced but good Dr. Cannondale is the Cannondale expert. Also, I don't think there's any way in h-e-double toothpicks that's a 57cm frame. I would guess more a 52cm. I don't think you could have that short a headtube on a 57cm frame unless it was a funny/pursuit bike. Doc, whaddayouthink about the size?
