What size trolling motor do I need for my J16 Carolina Skiff?
Dec 4, 2011 · May I ask for some quick trolling motor advice for my J16 Carolina Skiff? I found a sizing chart, but it was kind of confusing. My boat really doesn't fit the chart, it is a jon boat, but it's not an aluminum hull jon boat, it is a fiberglass Carolina Skiff. The chart mentioned a 'v' hull, mine doesn't have that either, it is a flat nose Skiff.

Mar 8, 2010. #1. My trailer for my Carolina Skiff has a homemade bow stop. It is typical of Jon boat ones with a flat carpet covered board that is about 12"x16". The bow rests up against this. This winch is mounted below this with no roller. I want to change this as the current stop is pressing against the rub rail of my Skiff and messing it up.

Under the switch in the console there should be a rubber cap that the breaker is attached to. If the breaker is tripped the button will be extended into this cap. Push it in and you will feel it go in and reset.

Aug 12, 2015 · I own a Carolina Skiff J16 and I think its sitting too low in the rear. I'm the 3rd owner so not sure all that's been done to it. My waterline is like 7" high in the rear. I have a 48hp Evinrude, battery, and 6 gal fuel tank in the back also. Is it normal to sit this low in the water??

I am looking at Boston whaler 150 sport, Mako pro skiff 15 cc and the Carolina skiff jvx16. The Carolina skiff looks to be the least well finished but the V hull looks more familiar and substantial. I’m leaning toward it because of this and they seem to be less expensive. I’m buying A 2015 or newer if Carolina skiff. May go older on a whaler.
