Charbray cattle are 5/8 Charolais and 3/8 Brahman. The hump of the Brahman is almost non-existent, but the loose skin and enlarged dewlap are indications of the Bos indicus blood in this breed. The Charbray is a large, very rugged breed that is heavily muscled in the loin and quarters.

Aug 19, 2016 · Anyone here have any experience with Charbray cattle down south? No direct experience with Charbray, used to have Charolais though. A fellow Ky Charolais breeder, had a cow bred to a Brahman bull due to a straw mix up. The resulting calf was a heifer, which he kept. He said that she was one of the best cows that he had.
