Being a co-MOH (or "combover" as my matron of honor has decided to say) is a big relief because you get to split the duties. Maybe package it as being part of the "honor team" or something-- the focus will still be on them.

Ask your childhood friend when you are home. Let her know that you love her and she is special to you, then ask her to be co-maid of honor. I don't get the whole bridesmaid proposal trend, so I can't comment on that, but there is nothing wrong with asking her to be a co-maid of honor. I've been one before and it didn't bother me one bit.

For example, my matron of honor stood next to me at the altar but the speeches were: father of the bride, best man, matron of honor, maid of honor since people tend to remember the first and last things best. If my county required a witness signature it was going to be my maid of honor.

I am co-maid of honor in my best friend from elementary school through senior year of high school wedding. We have not been close since we graduated high school. I have been blown off multiple times since then so I was absolutely shocked when she came to my house and asked me to be her co-maid of honor in her wedding with her sister.

My co maid of honor and I worked really well together, she took care of all logistical things whereas I am much more into the artsy/creative things. It worked out really well and it was nice not having to take care of all the MOH duties myself.

Jun 14, 2022 · The replacement maid of honor has 4 kids under the age of 6 which the bride and those that agree with her are just using a s moor proof that I’m being selfish. It’s ended up a huge mess, causing problems with the whole group, and changing how everyone feels about the wedding. I feel horrible and didn’t want any of that to happen.
