Trajan's Column (Italian: Colonna Traiana, Latin: Columna Traiani) is a Roman triumphal column in Rome, Italy, that commemorates Roman emperor Trajan 's victory in the Dacian Wars.

La Colonna Traiana è un monumento innalzato a Roma per celebrare la conquista romana della Dacia (attuale Romania) da parte dell'imperatore Traiano, i cui momenti salienti sono rievocati nella sua decorazione scultorea.

Questa colonna è di bronzo ed è ispirata alla colonna Traiana di Roma, che però è di marmo. L'Italia è stata depredata un po' da tutti nelle varie epoche, dai Papi che vendevano all'estero le opere d'arte alle guerre perdute che ne fecero bottini di guerra.

Reprinted in 1704, 1751 and 1825, Bartoli’s Colonna Traiana remained the most valid point of reference for any study of Trajan’s Column until the early nineteenth-century photographic reproductions, which unsurpassed even by the monumental Piranesi’s edition, Trofeo o Sia Magnifica Colonna Coclide (1774–79).
