In a 70 kg Patient: 6 bags (1pool) of cryo raises Fibrinogen 45 mg/dL. 1 unit of FFP typically has 250-400mg of fibrinogen. Cryo-poor plasma is used to make other factor concentrates.

Dec 13, 2013 · 142. Feb 20, 2014. #1. Cryoprecipitate contains Factors 8,13, VWF, and Fibrinogen. FFP has all the factors but low fibrinogen if Im not mistaken. In warfarin OD, you give FFP. I believe in DIC you give FFP. In TTP you perform exchange transfusion and avoid platelets.

The blood bank informs you there is a shortage of AB+ FFP.

Nov 5, 2017 · While it is up to the individual at my place I think most do 4-4-1 protocol. Also throwing in cryo if needed. Vast majority are traumas. We do 4/4/1, and add a unit of cryo with every other pack. We don't do a huge number of cases under our MTP, perhaps 1-2 a week, with the majority of those being OB hemorrhage cases.
