Jan 14, 2013 · Hi I am on the hunt to find a ghillie suit because of its rarity and coolness but the problem is, people. People assume all ghillies are bandits which is common and that people will think you have good gear even though I found one with a crossbow with one bolt and a makarov.

Rather than four guys in ghillie suits looting everything in sight. And if people want to argue 'realism', and 'waaaah, just because I'm wearing a ghillie suit doesn't mean I can't use a czech backpack!'

I think they should be placed in forest areas only and should be kinda rare so, for example, you would have around 5-7 encounters if you walked from South to North in a straight line. Their common loot would be pistol and sniper rifle ammo.

Jul 28, 2012 · I can switch back and forth to civi's and ghillie all without problem. We did however have issues with Ghillie's on our server but after much grief our server host ( HFB) reinstalled our DayZ server and that is what fixed our server for us.Since then they have been flawless.

Sep 7, 2012 · I'm pro the realistic stance, but that's pretty ridiculous. Considering a ghillie suit does nothing to prevent zombie aggro, and sidearms aren't exactly the best choice for pvp, it renders the ghillie suit's strongest appeal (concealment from players in pvp) slightly void. (And is useless against zombies, where sidearms are most useful)
