Nov 18, 2022 · To answer your question though, a 2.5x bodyweight Deadlift, 2x bodyweight squat, 1.5x bodyweight bench are well achievable for almost anyone with consistent practice over time. Honestly, you could aim even higher than that if you stay somewhat lean. I'm 36, well overweight, and can do a 2x bodyweight Deadlift any day with no Warmup.

Jul 19, 2016 · Many linear beginner programs use the squat as the core lift. The deadlift is usually described as an IMPORTANT part of the program but is usually not used as often as the squat. (e.g Starting Strength, Stronglifts 5 x 5, GreySkull LP) The low bar squat carries over to the deadlift much better than the deadlift carries over to the squat.

The FSQ allows one to fully extend the hips and enforces a better technique (the back squat is a lot easier to cheat on by coming up tail-first). The front squat places relatively more stress on the quads than the back squat.
