In 1978 I was making $2.10/hr minimum wage job in High School. .75/gallon was 35% of my pay. By the same math at $15hr gas would be 5.35/gallon. So even $3/gallon is relatively cheaper than 1978 based on current incomes.

Apr 14, 2011 · In the UK we're paying around £1.29 per litre. That's $2.10 a litre, or $7.95 a gallon (US). Suck my balls. current gas price is still significantly cheaper than in Europe. I'm actually for higher gas prices so that people would pollute less. But of course there is the forever dilemma of letting rich people get away with it... so torn...
