The City of Dorval is developing its first Cultural Policy, a planning tool that confirms the importance of culture in the development of a community and expresses a common and shared vision of culture.

As a people-oriented City, Dorval meets the needs and expectations of its residents with a complete range of services and activities as well as an outstanding quality of life which make it a “great place to live and work.” Dorval enjoys a diversified economy as evidenced by its various types of commercial and industrial establishments.

As part of its mission to offer inclusive recreational activities, the City of Dorval also provides a high-performance sled for wheelchair ice skating, available during recreational skating hours. This equipment allows wheelchair users to be moved around the ice to experience the joy of skating.

The City of Dorval is divided into 6 electoral districts, each represented by 1 councillor elected by voters in the district. The municipal council is made up of one mayor and six councillors. The mayor is elected through universal suffrage.
