What does the cloud next to a foler mean? And why can I not access the files in the folder? I could yesterday

the subfolder where it's in, should have a 'transparent green V check icon'. Also the main folder where the subfolder is in should have a 'transparent green V check icon'. After installing a new dropbox, the photos stopped syncing normally. They are visible as small previews, while the files have a cloud icon. Hi QC35black, thanks for messaging today!. It sounds like you might be on a paid plan that uses Smart Sync.If the tick is solid, the it means the file or folder is synced and 'local' on the machine.

Please see screenshot attached (folder names have been blacked out for security). You will see that the root folder that is selected has a cloud icon, indicating that all the files in the folder are online only. The second folder in the path also has a cloud icon, indicating that all the files in the folder are online only.

Note that a cloud icon with a down arrow means your file or folder is synced and online-only until it is opened. “Synced” means that any changes you make to this file or folder are reflected everywhere you access your files in Dropbox. “Online-only” means that you’ll need to be connected to the internet to initially open this file or ...

I uploaded a 2.4Gb .mp4 video from my iMac. It has appeared in DB with a cloud icon beside it (no down arrow, just a cloud). I am unable to see it on any of my other devices and can't see it if I log in to my account on the DB website. Can anyone tell me what is happening?
