Until a few weeks ago, I would click 'View on Dropbox' in Windows Explorer, this would open what I'm calling the 'context page', and there would be the option to create a link to 'Request Files'. The other user sent me a link to his Dropbox, but I don't think it was an actual "request" for files-- it says I have the right to edit his folder. I have tried to upload my file from a flash drive to his folder about 15 times.

When I entered the email address tied to my Dropbox account, the Share button miraculously works. As long as I send a File Request to someone whom I've already shared files with, it works. If I try to send a File Request to an email address that is not in some mystery contacts file, the Share button is greyed out. This doesn't make sense.

The main issue I have is i have provided a Dropbox File Request link to a friend. They need to upload files for me each week. They use a web browser on their windows laptop.

Dropbox appends uploader's NAME to the file names automatically when when upload files from File Request function. Please provide us an option of not appending client's name to the File Request function. We often receive hundreds of uploaded files through "File Request" feature and we need to maintain the uploaded files original names.
