They are Dúnedain - "kings of men" - but they are not kings, solely because their ancestor was not a king, but a steward.

Mar 6, 2021 · Im having a really hard time playing as northern dunedain on normal/normal in 4.5 DAC. Angmar besieged ost sul every other turn and Moria sends legions upon legions to the angle. I don’t make any money because I need at least 3 units in each garrison to make sure it doesn’t fall to the armies who are besiege it out of the FOW.

However, later Stewards and the Dol Amroth princes were still SOMEWHAT more long-lived than normal Men. Technically, they all are Dunedain but you are right in that the Stewards and the Dol Amroth princes lost most of the Numenorean longevity.
