I jumped into the exit portal too exited to think of weather I had endangered the over-world or not. I took screenshots of the egg 5 minutes after killing the dragon, collecting the egg, and making it home.

Mar 23, 2015 · Maybe the "Mother" of the egg died. And the Ender Dragon is a father, protecting his last egg before it hatches? And all of the Endermen are the sons/daughters of the Ender Dragon. The egg is his last chance at one more person in his family. This is a good example of why the Ender Dragon shouldn't be classified as a Female.
