The park is open 8 a.m. to sunset daily. The fort is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The visitor center is open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. $6 per vehicle (two to eight people). $4 single-occupant vehicle. $2 pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass.

Dec 11, 2024 · Fort Clinch State Park offers 61 campsites in two separate campgrounds. Shady oak trees with Spanish moss give an old Florida air to the Amelia River Campground and its 40 sites. Just steps from the ocean, the 21 sites at the Atlantic Beach Campground are surrounded by white sand dunes.

Fort Clinch is only one aspect of this diverse 1,400-acre park. Maritime hammocks with massive arching live oaks provide a striking backdrop for hiking and biking on the park’s many trails. The park is known for its gopher tortoises, painting buntings and several other species of wildlife.

A part of the park system since 1935, Fort Clinch is one of the most well-preserved 19th century forts in the country. Although no battles were fought here, it was garrisoned during both the Civil and Spanish-American wars.
