About Gnosis Magazine
Between 1985 and 1999, GNOSIS Magazine was the only widely available, serious journal devoted to Western esoteric and spiritual traditions. It was highly acclaimed by numerous authors and scholars in the field and was fondly regarded by its many readers.

Gnosis Magazine 1985-1999: San Francisco -- The Spring of 1999 marked the end of the successful 14-year run of GNOSIS Magazine. GNOSIS concluded with #51, its ground-breaking issue on "the Grail," including a controversial exposé of the Priory of Zion hoax, years before the popularity of Daniel Brown's best-seller "The Da Vinci Code."

About the Lumen Foundation - Gnosis
In the years since its founding, the Lumen Foundation has initiated occasional projects besides GNOSIS, including pilgrimages to sacred sites, and GNOSIS study groups. However, the publication of GNOSIS Magazine has been its primary project up to the present.
