Jan 12, 2024 · Now lets talk about Anders (played by John Simm), from the moment Anders was introduced in The Job, I genuinely intrigued by his persona as Hilda's father, like you can tell they share the same adventurer genes, so I was excited to see where this father-daughter dynamic was going, and I immediately loved it.

So it's similar to hilda's case where even though Johanna, who is hilda's mom, and Anders, who is hilda's dad, have brown and blonde/orange/ginger(I can't remember tbh) hair respectively, hilda still inherits her grandfather's hair, which is blue.

With Hilda's dad, there's less context needed: most cultures have negative connotations around a parent who abandons their child. Anders's absence is enough context, especially given other good fathers in the show. Johanna struggles with raising her daughter alone.

Sep 11, 2020 · nah, Luke Pearson confirmed that Hilda gets her hair from one of her parents which heavily implies that she got it from her dad. so it's very unlikely that, that's her father. Plus, the second season is way too early to reveal Hilda's father, that's like a 3, 4 or 5 season thing.
