Jan 1, 2021 · Another thing to consider, Holosun is lower 1/3 co-witness wheras the Sig is absolute co-witness. I owned the Sig before selling it for the Holosun HS503G-ACSS. Although the sight itself nearly hits your cost target, The ACSS reticle practically needs a magnifier to make use of the BDC which adds $$$ so I won’t recommend based on your budget.

Jan 9, 2019 · I've used a bunch of different red dots from quite a few manufacturers. Between Vortex and Holosun, I'd choose a Holosun model with the side battery compartment like the Aimpoint micros (avoid the battery tray models if you can). Between the 403C, 503GU, 515GM, PA MD-ADS and Sig Romeo 5...I like the 515GM the best.

Apr 19, 2021 · For the Holosun 403B, you should be looking at aftermarket mounts that are specifically designed for your desired co-witness height. Also, and this is just a personal preference, but I would look at the 403R over the 403B. Those battery trays and small screws on the 403B can be really annoying to use.
Holosun 403B w/ Geissele T1 mount is a no go - AR15.COM
Jul 8, 2020 · I suspect that the Holosun optic is the one out of spec, as the Geissele mount fits T-1 and T-2 perfectly. Might want to take that up with Holosun rather than bash Geissele. I have ADM mounts and like them. Larue, too. ADM might have a bit more adjustment range. This is something Holosun should know about.

Jun 15, 2021 · Romeo5 has tinted glass, slight magnification, and edge distortion. The 403R is not as tinted and has much cleaner picture. Plus, the 403R has a rheostat knob on the side so I’m not mashing little buttons with my big gorilla fingers. The Holosun has a big flamboyant logo on the side so everyone will know you eat dick.

Jan 1, 2021 · Holosun HS403B. Of the two, what one should I choose? Do you have a better option for the price range of $149 - $200. My go to rifles right now are a Tavor Sar and a Tavor x95. My Sar has a Meprolight M21 and my x95 will have a Trijicon MRO on it within the next few months. Thanks for any and all help and advice that you give.

But Vortex has a great reputation with their warranty work etc. and I do not know about Holosun. holosun has a lifetime warranty but the little I have seen is they are sticklers on warranty work.
