Hoshigakure (星隠れの里, Hoshigakure no Sato, literally meaning: Village Hidden Among Stars) was introduced during the Star Guard Mission. It is founded by the First Hoshikage two hundred years before the start of the series and is located in the Land of Bears.

The Hoshikage (星影, literally meaning: Star Shadow) is the leader of Hoshigakure. The title of Hoshikage is merely a formality within Hoshigakure as it is not recognised as a Kage by the Five Great Shinobi Countries, but Hoshigakure hopes to one day change that.

Hoshigakure, also known as the Hidden Star Village is a village who is allied with the Konohagakure. It is a very small village that usually requires the help of others. Their village is based around the stars, naming all the children after constellations. Again connecting to the stars, their lay a meteor in Hoshigakure.

The Hoshigakure Arc is the tenth filler arc in the original Naruto anime and the ninth of the Post-Sasuke Retrieval filler arcs. Team Guy, plus Naruto, is sent to the Land of Bears to help its village, Hoshigakure, reclaim a powerful meteorite (what they call a star) that was stolen.
