A few notes, that soundbar has no codes that I can find on the normal roamio remote. I got the slide remote and used the learning funcion.

I have a polk audio soundbar that works with my tivo remote,and that ones about 2 years old so i'm sure one of this years models would work just fine. It works with my Sony 3.1 speaker bar.

Since I am blind, my plan was to replace the TV with the sound bar. I was able to do it by programming Bose as the TV, but I would bet that you could also do it by setting it up as an A/V receiver.

Oct 15, 2016 · Definitely know now it is the Tivo causing the problem and not the Vizio sound bar and has gotten worse 20.6.3.RC7-01-2-748. Decided to change to Comcast X1 box (Arris) and have had zero problems with fast forwarding popping/crackling sounds. Ok the X1 has Bug issues also but for the most part the DVR functionally works well.
