Sep 28, 2023 · Depends: Scultped V shape, some like it then Xtreme 3. Flatter but more bass, XG300. Both have their advantages. And both are good. PC Mag awarded editors choice to both (actually the XG300 replaced the Xtreme 3) and I generally find their reviews reliable. Personally I like the XG300 of the two.

Jul 11, 2021 · We have a JBL Xtreme 3, JBL Flip 5 and a JBL Xtreme 1. The xtreme 1 has a “connect” function, the flip 4 has “connect plus” and the xtreme 3 has “party mode”. I managed to connect two different generations of JBL Charge before by giving one of them a software update, I tried that but it doesn’t seem to work.

Apr 3, 2024 · I’ve recently bought a few xtreme 3s, they’re great speakers and with the new update that came out in the past couple of days it now has stronger bass. I also have a PartyBox encore, at full volume both speakers are about as loud as eachother but the encore has a slightly deeper bass imo but I recommend the xtreme 3 as it’s more portable

May 9, 2022 · I mean the JBL extreme three is going to have more bass. I think it has one or two subwoofers. You’re not really missing out on much. I’m pretty sure the JBL extreme three charges with USB as well. If your a bass head, get the extreme three. If you’re not, the charge five is completely fine.

Apr 26, 2021 · I've had this issue for the past few years across all my JBL speakers. I've gone from a few of the charge 4 speakers, to the Xtreme 1, Xtreme 2, and now the Xtreme 3's. In all of these speaker sets, this has been an issue. Updating the firmware has never fixed the issues. It happens usually about every other minute or so.

Dec 2, 2023 · By default, the JBL Xtreme has its bass mode turned on. This adds some treble and lots of extra bass to the audio output. You can turn low frequency mode OFF by depressing the Volume Down (-) and Bluetooth buttons for about ten seconds, until the Power and Connect buttons light up white. Feb 20, 2024 · Not sure if you're using any EQ on the speakers, but the Xtreme 4 sounds slightly more natural and also has less bass boost than the 3. That X4 is overall better at least if you're aiming for a natural sound. They do still have quite a similar sound signature though.

Jun 29, 2021 · I just bought two motion booms coming from two JBL Xtreme 2's. The reason I switched was JBL Xtreme 2 doesn't have TWS and it's impossible to link two JBL Xtreme 2's. When the 3 came out I considered upgrading but there was very little reason to in comparison videos. It's a cosmetic upgrade.
