Solomon used the rose to describe the pleasing appearance of a woman he was courting. The plain where it was found was known for its beauty and fertility (1Chronicles 27:29, Isaiah 33:9). The king directly references it in the Biblical book named after him. "I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.

And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders. 1Chronicles 27:29 And over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite: and over the herds that were in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai . . . Song of Solomon 2:1 - 2 I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.

Before Jesus was buried to await being resurrected, however, something happened that only the hand of God could perform. And suddenly the veil of the temple was ripped in two from top to bottom . . . (Matthew 27:51) The veil mentioned in the gospels that tore when Jesus died hung between the Holy of Holies and the Holy Place.

Galatians 1:1 - 3 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead:) and all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: Grace be to you . . .

Jesus meets with the disciples on the Mount of Olives (Acts 1). He gives them, just before his ascension, what is referred to as the Great Commission. He also tells them to wait ten more days, in the city of Jerusalem, so that they may receive the power of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18 - 20, Mark 16:15 - 18, Acts 1:4 - 5).

Primary scriptures: Matthew 3:13 - 4:11, Mark 1:9 - 13, Luke 3:21 - 22, 4:1 - 13. The gospel accounts reveal a basic framework of events with known dates that can greatly help us comprehend the events of Jesus' ministry and their relationship with one another.

Jesus was very quickly taken from the cross after his death as there were only a few short hours before God's annual Feast day began (Mark 15:42 - 43). The second Sabbath The Bible states that after the annual Sabbath known as the Feast of Unleavened Bread had ended (on sunset Thursday), three women went to buy spices for Jesus' body (Mark 16:1).

Jesus' answer is that God's perfect will is that people stay married for life with one possible exception (Matthew 19:3 - 9, Mark 10:2 - 12). After commenting about the relationship of celibacy to the Kingdom of God little children are brought to him to bless (Matthew 19:10 - 15, Mark 10:13 - 16, Luke 18:15 - 17).

The groove edge outside the burial location, in the above image, is cut diagonally. As was prophesied in Isaiah (Isaiah 53:8 - 9) Jesus was buried in the tomb of a rich man even though many believed he was a criminal deserving of the death penalty (Matthew 27:57 - 60).

The overwhelming majority of these were spoken by Jesus or were reported as being spoken by him. Jesus, as both the Son of God (and man's Creator) and the Son of Man, is the perfect Mediator between the Father and humanity (Hebrews 2:9 - 10, 17 - 18). Luke's genealogy of Jesus, through Mary, unites both the human and divine in Christ.
