Dec 1, 2023 · Part of why I enjoy JJK. Having watched shonen since the 90s catching DBZ episodes early in the morning, the reluctance to actually off characters weighs on you. Knowing that these guys can actually die, especially in unceremonious ways, raises the tension so much.

As you said it'll probably take another 50 chapters at least to wrap up the culling games, and then there's the final arc to finish everything off, which will most likely be 100+ chapters. I see JJK ending around chapter 250-300.

I don't know if you're a manga reader (there's no spoilers if you are not) but for years there has been the discussion of where season 2 will end.

Apr 5, 2023 · Shibuya is a arc that once it happened, things couldn't return to normal, ever, it is a prelude to the ending. It happening so soon, ends casual development, and most interactions that were missing start being more and more apparent. Without anime shorts, the transition in tone would've been even less impactful.

Then everyone would just be wanting more JJK. I think the final boss could be the merger (with Yuji being the one to contain it within himself) and then the entirety of cursed energy dies with the merger itself thus leaving a world where curses do not exist and the only enemies people can have is each other.

For me JJK is in real danger of running into the same issue I ran into with AoT where everything is so fucking miserable that I stop carrying about which way the story will go. Like let’s say basically every significant character dies, Kenny’s merger devoured most of Japan and it just comes down to Yuji vs Megumi!Sukuna with Megumi fully ...

Wow, I can't believe JJK was such a short manga. I thought it would have lasted longer, like one piece, Naruto and Bleach. Would have liked to see how it would have done 10 years from now. Oh well, I can't wait to see the next manga to replace or out due JJK. Hopefully, the next manga to take JJK spot has a bit better writing.
