Joice Island is a small island in Grizzly Bay (part of Suisun Bay) in California. It is part of Suisun Marsh, and has been used for hunting since the late 19th century.

In 1931, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) purchased a parcel known as Joice Island, naming it one of California's first wildlife refuges. As other landowners became discouraged, duck clubs provided additional habitat for wildlife and both proliferated.

Dec 8, 2014 · I've just never heard much about joice island, and decided to put in for it cause its close to home. I never asked for any spots I was just curious if its so good out there, that should I try just holding out for mallards or shoot every duck that comes by.
