The Knesset (Hebrew: הַכְּנֶסֶת, romanized: HaKnesset [haˈkneset] ⓘ lit. 'gathering, assembly', Arabic: الْكِنِيسِت, romanized: al-Kinisit) is the unicameral legislature of Israel.

The following is a list of Israeli flags. The design recalls the Tallit, the Jewish prayer shawl, which is white with blue stripes. The hexagram in the centre is the Magen David ("Shield of David", also known in the diaspora as the "Star of David"). Dimensions: 8:11.

It was in the era of the Hasmoneans (the second to first centuries B.C.E.) that the Menorah (the seven branch candelabrum) first served as a national symbol. Upon the foundation of the State of Israel, it was chosen as its emblem, to symbolize the continuity and eternity of the Jewish People.

The flag features a (modified) version of the CoA in the middle of a white horizontal flag. The Knesset Guard (משמר הכנסת) was established in 1958 during the Third Knesset ( source) and it is an Israeli protective security unit.
