My Lexus shop subs it out to the local Wheelworks, where I buy my tires. I found that out after letting the dealership take care of it once, and found the invoice from Wheelworks for the job attached to my Lexus invoice, sans price.

Tire Rack lists 10 different 19" tires for the 2010 RX. The Yokahama Parada lists for $165.00 each and is rated as a good buy. I have the 19" tires and the ride is very aceptable. The look is great. The stock tires are Michelin latitude which are ok but I have not had good results with Michelins as far as mileage wear.

My dealer says I have to get new tires immediately or risk death to self and family. The tread (original Bridgestone Potenza, 245/40ZR18) still looks pretty good and an independent mechanic said 2-3K more miles if not at speeds.

As for the other "yes" --- the 18"s do allow going around corners very fast, and the suspension keeps the car relatively flat --- surprisingly flat for a Lexus. Except for the tires, a somewhat short low-beam headlight cutoff, and slightly "vague" on-center steering, I consider it an excellent car.

Although Lexus says that the 18" rims and summer tires are an option, just try and find a dealer that has just the standard 17" tires. I tried many, many Lexus dealers, they all said the same thing, unless you place a special order, which would take 90-120 days, the summer tires and rims are the way they come equipped.

I recently bought a 2008 GX 470 .On standart equipment and installed options it desribes the tires as: 265/65SR17 Mud and snow tires. But, the tires on my car are Bridgestone 265/65R17 840 Dueler.
