Ling Yin Temple was struck by misfortune again in the thirteenth year of Chongzhen period (1640 AD). The whole temple was on fire, and was burnt down in entirety except the main hall and Forthright. Lingyin Temple was in ruin in late Ming and early Qing dynasties.
