The problem is that it's only auto-launched when docked into a 'real dock', not just the charging cable (looked everywhere in its options). That's a big oversight. It's REAL simple to trigger for cable charging too.

Aug 29, 2011 · It is possible that the cable you purchased is for the original galaxy tab (7") which has a smaller battery and can probably be charged via the USB port. I agree that the included cable is way too short for using the tab while charging.

Sep 13, 2013 · I can only get full charging with oem cable AND charger. Ive tried a note 2 charger and cable, a 2 amp car charger, and a nexus 7 charger. Ive mixed and matched cables around with no luck. You must use the one it came with. Hoping the dev community can help with this.

Mar 22, 2015 · Then you plug the receiver into the port once and unless you bend the cable enough to break the port, it should last longer than you want to keep the tab. About the only thing you may notice is that wireless charging is about as fast as USB charging from a computer port. The plug-in charger probably charges faster.
