Apr 18, 2020 · If there was a creature I could tame, it would be accessible in vats (so I thought). If this location spawned something else (robots, human enemies, mutants, etc), I just server hopped and tried again. After server hopping 12 or so times, I finally came across a scortched Mega Sloth.

Jun 4, 2022 · I never kill a friendly mega sloth, and anyway, it's not a cryptid, so it's utterly pointless to kill it during this quest. (Although, for some reason, the wiki wrongly lists the mega sloth as a cryptid.

Dec 1, 2020 · FYI - The bug had nothing to do with the mega sloth. It was me and a teammate doing it at the same time. I think I grabbed the sample from his kill without tagging it myself, or maybe he killed mine before I could tag it. Anyhow, I got the sample, but could not properly turn it in. I was stuck for several months like this.

Aug 20, 2019 · Mega sloths are definitely still tamable. They just need to spawn alone, be more than half below your level, and for some reason you need to almost touch them while aiming down a non-scoped weapon.

Nov 19, 2018 · I came across a Mega Sloth fighting off two Yao Guai on the putting green just south of Whitespring. Just stayed perched on the cliff side, threw a couple rounds into each of them to get some XP, and took out the remaining Yao Guai after the fight. Only time I've seen the Megasloth there, but I'll keep looking to see if it is a spawn point.
