Mewtwo is a Psychic type Pokémon introduced in Generation 1. Mewtwo has two Mega Evolutions, available in Generation 6 games. They can be activated in battle when holding the Mega Stones, Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y respectively.

Pokémon X & Y introduced a new type of evolution called Mega Evolution. When holding a particular Mega Stone (specific to each Pokémon), certain Pokémon can Mega-Evolve in battle. Mega Evolution is in fact more like in-battle form changes.
