    The medical examiner said Tabata died from her injuries sustained in the crash. An NTSB spokesman said Tabata was a certified instrument pilot. The owner of the plane said the victim rented plane time from him three days ago to build training hours.

    Tabata took off Tuesday in a single-engine Cessna 152 from Massey Ranch Airpark in Edgewater, but sometime during her flight told air traffic controllers with the Daytona Beach control tower that she didn’t know where she was and wanted to land.
