Mar 10, 2011 · My friend Bruce and I bought a 1926 Model T a few months ago and are planning to build a custom/hot rod/speedster? We are both big fans of MrModleT's car. Our goal is somthing like Clayton's car with a chopped top. This is my first time working on a Model T and Bruce's first restoration. Here is a picture of the car from the "for sale" ad.

If you use a flathead with a very square shape, like that Plymouth 6 in the other thread, or a Pontiac straight 8, I think you will have rod with a very distinctive engine. Nov 2, 2011 · Some generalizations: if you want to run a "hot rod"type wheel, say 15x8 with a 3" backspace, shoot for an axle about 54" - 56" wide. If you want to run an early Ford type wheel with a stock backspace and say 7.00x16s you can get away with about 58" - 59".

Nov 26, 2009 · The record speed for a Model T is 166 mph. If you want to make a hot rod out of a Model t use a 1928 chevy head on the model t block an adaptor plate is real easy to make. It will put out around 100 hp. As for brakes, use rocky mountain style brakes.

Lets start right off by saying this is a right hand drive street/hot rod/ Now ur thinking it will be very difficult to drive a right hand drive vehicle! Wrong!! Everyday postal carriers drive right hand drive vehicles and most of Europe drives right hand drive vehicles!
