"Moesha" is a sitcom (which took more of a dramatic turn in later years) that follows the life of a black teenager living in the Leimert Park section of Los Angeles, California. For years since her mother's death, Moesha Mitchell has taken care of her father Frank and younger brother Myles.

While trying to keep up with the social life of college as well as the academic life, Moesha and Niecy are invited to their first college party. After discovering that the punch is spiked the hard way, Moesha's faced with having to call Frank to pick her up.

Brandy Norwood is an African-American singer-songwriter and actress from McComb, Mississippi. She is known for her roles in Moesha, Osmosis Jones and Cinderella. She has released many R&B albums and singles since the 1990s. She is known as "The Vocal Bible". She gave birth to a daughter named Sy'rai Iman Smith in June 2002.

Moesha and her friends all decide to take a road trip to Sea World, but their trip ends abruptly after Chris causes them to get kicked out of the amusement park. So they all decide to travel to Tijuana Mexico instead of going home.
