The 148hp, 170 cu. in Hyper-Pak introduced in the 1960 Valiant was the next step and the one that was to prove the new engine worthy of any performance challenge.

The first production four speed slant sixes were the 1964-66 A-body four speed cars. The second run of production four speed slant sixes began in 1975 with the release of the Overdrive A-833. From 1975 until 1987 the Overdrive four speed was installed in slant six applications of A-bodies, F-bodies, and light trucks (D100 & D200 series trucks).
