I feel bad in a way because I feel I wouldn't love this movie as much as I do if it wasn't for Nick which doesnt make me a true insane Zootopia fan. Like Zootopia is a amazing movie don't get me wrong but I feel if Nick wasn't in it it wouldn't be as good.

Nick, just like any anthropomorphic creature, is designed to appeal to us. He has all the traits of a human with some extra bits.

Judy was acting as a desperate and guilt-ridden vigilante after she quit - Nick definitely should have tried to reign her in more, but that was very much Judy's decision.

The way nick's assessment of judy grows over the course of the movie from an over ambitious hypocrite to an officer who truly tries her best. I love that nick was trying to tell himself to keep calm and hear judy out during the press conference.
